... Web Services

Digital Chemistry's Web Services allow any client to invoke remote processing via the industry standard SOAP protocol. This allows Digital Chemistry's technology to be deployed in a number of ways, with highly processor intensive tasks being handled by dedicated servers which may in turn be accessed by any number of clients. These high-capacity servers can then be centralised, allowing more straightforward maintenance and scheduling.

Clients may be simple, single-user applications, integrations into third-party applications such as Pipeline Pilot server, or could form part of a complex workflow involving many different applications.

Fingerprinting Server
The fingerprinting server allows BCI format fingerprints to be rapidly generated using any of a number of supplied dictionaries, as well as those generated by customers. The server is capable of handling many millions of fingerprint requests, for many clients and will generate output in a number of standard formats.
Clustering Server
The clustering server allows the potentially time-consuming job of processing many millions of data items to be handled by a dedicated server or server farm. The server operates as a highly optimised clustering engine, capable of serving many simultaneous users as efficiently as possible. All the clustering methods Digital Chemistry currently supports are embedded, along with a number of cluster optimisation and analysis models. Job size is limited only by available server memory.
Platform Support
The Web Services operate as stand-alone systems, and require no third-party infrastructure to operate, although they can be deployed as part of an Apache web server. SSL based connections are supported where such security is required.
Platform support: Windows (NT, 2000, XP), Sun Solaris and Linux (GCC).
